Statement on World AIDS Day

Statement From The Office of President Bill Clinton
from www.clintonfoundation.org

December 1, 2007

"No adult or child should die of a manageable illness. On this World AIDS Day, I am proud to join the international community in recognizing the efforts of health care workers, organizations and governments in the fight against HIV/AIDS in the developing world. Their work has helped dramatically alter the international AIDS landscape, and today many more patients in the developing world have access to the same quality of care and treatment available in wealthy countries. There is much more to be done. I look forward to working with partners around the world and continuing our collective effort to defeat this disease."
