About the Clinton Presidential Park Bridge Renovation
The renovation of the Clinton Presidential Park Bridge, formerly known as the Rock Island Railroad Bridge, into a ramped pedestrian pathway will compliment President Clinton’s vision for his Presidential Center and bring a unique economic development opportunity for Little Rock and North Little Rock. This renovation project will close the loop to the 15-mile Arkansas River Trail, which runs along both the north and south banks of the Arkansas River.
The renovation of the bridge is scheduled to begin in July, and it will take approximately 12-18 months to complete. President Clinton recently stated that while this renovated bridge is his foundation’s latest effort to help continue the economic transformation in the area, it will not be the last.
