Volunteer

The Clinton Presidential Center appreciates the dedication of our enthusiastic volunteers.

Volunteers are truly the lifeblood of the Center, ensuring our events run smoothly and our visitors feel welcome. Through their efforts, visitors to the Clinton Presidential Center are provided an educational and engaging experience that instills in them a better understanding of the Clinton Administration, the institution of the Presidency, and the American political system.

Become a Volunteer

If you live within the Little Rock vicinity, a rewarding volunteer experience awaits you at the Center. We are in need of people of all abilities and backgrounds to participate in almost every component of the Center’s operations.

Minimum Requirements for Volunteer Applicants

All volunteer opportunities are located in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Clinton Presidential Center in cooperation with the National Archives and other Presidential Libraries developed a set of requirements for our volunteers.

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Youth/student volunteers under age 18 must obtain parental/guardian consent.
  • Applicants should complete the appropriate volunteer application(s) and provide a minimum of 2 references.
  • Background checks may be required for certain volunteer positions.
  • All applicants must be willing to attend volunteer training sessions, as required by Volunteer Resources and be willing to attend training as deemed necessary by the Clinton Presidential Center.
  • All applicants must meet, interview with, and be approved by the Director of Volunteers, before proceeding in any areas within the Center to engage in any type of volunteer work.
  • Adult applicants must be willing to commit to at least one year of service, with the minimum commitment of three hours a week.
  • Youth/Student applicants are required to commit to 3 months of service, with a minimum commitment of 3 hours a week.
  • Volunteer applicants must be willing to record service hours daily.
  • Volunteer applicants must be willing to wear the official Volunteer Staff Member Identification Badge at all times, while on volunteer duty.
  • All volunteers must demonstrate an appropriate and positive manner of behavior and communication skills with all persons at all times, including guests, staff, vendors, and other volunteers.
  • Volunteers in certain positions may be required to withstand long periods of walking and standing.
  • Volunteers in certain roles, such as school visits, must be able to communicate in a clear, understandable, and courteous manner.
