Job Opportunities

Learn more about CHAI’s three main program areas and headquarters and search for open positions within each.

Country Programs
To accomplish its aggressive goals, CHAI has placed cross-functional teams on the ground in its partner countries to provide governments with the support they need to quickly and aggressively scale-up treatment programs while strengthening the healthcare systems. CHAI’s country teams work in partnership with the government, world-class HIV/AIDS clinicians and researchers, and other stakeholders to identify the key obstacles to scale-up and to develop simple and sustainable strategies to overcome them. The specific type of support that CHAI teams provide varies depending on the specific needs identified in each country and can range from business planning to health policy reform to systems development to the management of treatment facilities. Major Programs
Major Program Teams have been established around CHAI’s core competencies in order to advance key objectives and support country operations. CHAI’s Major Program Teams include: Pediatric, Rural, Operations Research (CSHOR), and Clinical Training.

CHAI has introduced clinical training and mentoring programs in select developing countries as part of its efforts to expand treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS. These programs are aimed specifically at providing healthcare managers and workers with extensive training in clinical care and healthcare management. Click here for a list of Major Program Jobs.

Access Programs
CHAI creates partnerships with pharmaceutical companies and medical and food suppliers in order to help countries actualize their ambitious HIV/AIDS healthcare goals. The Access Teams negotiate with suppliers to procure medications, diagnostic tools, equipment, and therapeutic foods affordably, thus expanding the number of people for whom governments can provide care and treatment. Currently, 750,000 people are receiving life-saving antiretroviral treatments purchased under CHAI agreements. Click here for a list of Access Program Jobs.

CHAI Headquarters
CHAI Headquarters, located in Quincy, Massachusetts, provides critical support to the initiative in the areas of Recruitment, Human Resources, Safety and Security, Payroll and Benefits, Information Technology, Finance, and Contracts, as well as administrative support for HQ functions and to CHAI’s Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chairman.
