Press Release: Clinton Center's Forty Two Expands Operations
Forty Two, the on-site restaurant at the Clinton Presidential Center, with its highly trained staff, will now offer full-service catering and management for all functions held at the Clinton Center.
"We want every client - and every visitor - of the Center to have a ‘presidential experience.' And with the new processes in place, we can do just that," said Mike Selig, director of food, beverage and event services at the Clinton Center. "We are excited to offer our clients ‘one-stop-shopping' when planning their special function. From blue jeans and barbecue to cuff links and caviar, we offer the finest accommodations, scenery and catering in the region."
After joining the Clinton Center team in May, Selig has overseen several enhancements to Forty Two, including supervising a kitchen remodel, creating seasonal menus for the restaurant and catering, and developing a daily e-blast highlighting luncheon specials and culinary news.
Joining Selig, as director of sales is Heather Allmendinger, former marketing and communications director of the Downtown Little Rock Partnership. "The Clinton Center is one of the best venues in Arkansas, and the catering services are second-to-none. I look forward to being a part of this great team," said Allmendinger.
Selig is a veteran restaurateur who has more than 25 years' experience in the hospitality industry. He received a degree in culinary arts from Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island, one of the nation's leading culinary schools. 1n 1996, Selig became executive chef at the Excelsior Hotel (now the Peabody). More recently, Selig was the owner and executive chef of Vermillion Water Grille and Vermillion Bistro.
