City Year and the Clinton Center Bring Together 100 Volunteers for a Day of Service

Volunteers work at Oak Forrest Community Garden in Little Rock

In conjunction with the Clinton Center's Fifth Anniversary, City Year, the William J. Clinton Presidential Center, and the City of Little Rock engaged 100 volunteers in service at Oak Forrest Community Gardens.

The Oak Forrest Community Garden provides a space for children to learn about nature and hopes to be a catalyst for ending hunger in the community. Volunteers from City Year and the Clinton Center will raise garden beds to make them handicap accessible and clean-up and maintenance in various gardens, which includes laying new pathways to new garden spaces that will allow the homeless to garden, paint bird houses and erect an official welcome sign.
