Internships: Hong Kong - Clinton Global Initiative

The Clinton Global Initiative is a non-partisan catalyst for action, bringing together a community of global leaders to devise and implement innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Initiative members include some of the most accomplished leaders and problem solvers, from business, government, and non-governmental organizations. Each member develops a ‘commitment to action’, which reflects a new, specific, and measurable step being taken to address a challenge of his or her choosing.

President Clinton is expanding the membership and effectiveness of CGI by convening a series of meetings in different regions of the world. The first of these meetings, held in Hong Kong in May 2008, will focus on the issues of education, energy and climate change and public health. It will promote actionable outcomes by providing participants with unique, meaningful opportunities to work collaboratively to articulate their own ‘commitment to action.’

CGI Asia interns, based in the Hong Kong office, are an important part of a professional staff. They work closely with a committed team of employees and volunteers to ensure the success of CGI’s objectives. Interns must be highly organized and detailed oriented, proficient in MS Office, be resourceful and able to multi-task. They must have good communication skills and be proficient in spoken and written English. Additional knowledge of Cantonese, Putonghua or Japanese will be an advantage.

All positions will require general administrative support; wide-ranging research support, for example, on Asian business leaders, NGO best practices and philanthropic trends; developing and maintaining excel databases and managing email inquiry correspondence.
